Correo del sábado...


Last Saturday I got three wonderful cards.

El sábado pasado recibí tres maravillosas tarjetas.


The first one came from Latvia.  I made a little researched about this wonderful country:  The Republic of Latvia is a country in the Baltic region of Northern Europe. It is bordered to the north by Estonia, to the south by Lithuania, to the east by Russia, and to the southeast by Belarus and by a maritime border to the west with Sweden. 

La primera viene de Lituania.  Tuve que hacer una pequeña investigación acerca de este maravilloso país:   La República de Letonia, es un país soberano miembro de la Unión Europea, con capital en Riga, que se extiende sobre una superficie total de 64 589 km² y cuenta con una población total de 2 070 371 habitantes⁴ . Esta república, que se encuentra situada en el norte de Europa, es uno de los Países Bálticos y limita al norte con Estonia (343 km), al sur con Lituania (588 km), al este con Rusia (276 km) y Bielorrusia (141 km) y al oeste con el mar Báltico. Es un país de llanuras bajas pobladas de extensos bosques.⁵

So, my Postcrossing friend Marina from Latvia, sent me this nice postcard about The Blackheads House.  This is an amazing old building in the old town of Riga.  I am so happy by receiving meaningful cards like this one.  Thank you Marina, and I love the stamps, too.

The second one is from Nolleke, The Netherlands.  All about this country is pretty amazing to me.  I really like this traditional costume and the girl is lovely.  And the stamp is my new favorite one for now.  

La segunda postal es de Nolleke de Holanda.  Todo lo referente a este país me encanta.  Este traje tradicional y la preciosa niña que lo lleva, son bellísimos.  Y la estampilla, es por ahora, mi nueva favorita.

Finally, I got a nice envelope from China.  It was closed, but someone made a big hole in the back.  I received two gorgeous cards without name. Maybe the censors took away something else with the sender name.   Too bad no having freedom!  Anyway, I hope the kind person who took his or her time to send me the cards, send an e-mail asking for them; so, I could say thank you...

Por último, recibí un hermoso sobre desde China.  Estaba cerrado, pero tenía un gran agujero, hecho cuidadosamente,  en el reverso.  Traía dos hermosas tarjetas pero ninguna estaba firmada.  Tal vez la censura sacó algo más que traía el nombre del remitente.  ¡Qué malo eso de no tener libertad!  En todo caso, espero que la amable persona que tomó su tiempo para enviarme las postales, me envíe también un e-mail preguntando por ellas, así tendré la oportunidad de agradecerle...

Yesterday I got this beautiful postcard from Lilia.  She explained the picture on the card and told me a lot of facts about Ukraine.  And guess what?  She wrote it in SPANISH!

And even though, this wonderful sketch card suffered a few traveling troubles, I loved it!

This lovely chinese teenager, Yi, send me this huge and pretty card, (8" x 5,5" wow!)...

Now, Irina, from Ukraine, sent me this multiview card.  I like them a lot, because I can enjoy several lovely places at the same time.
And please, enjoy this bunch of stamps, I love them!

Ahora, Irina de Ucrania, me envió esta tarjeta con varias imágenes que me encantan porque me permiten conocer varios rincones de su pueblo a la vez.

I can´t believe this is a Library!  I have to go there and spent some time inside it.

No puedo creer que esto sea una biblioteca... tengo que ir a conocerla!

It's my birthday again?

Today I got a big envelope at the Post Office.  My German friend Ilka sent a wonderful bunch of scrapbooking materials... I can´t wait to use them.
