A magic place  

Some years ago, I got a wonderful birthday present:  a book called  The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society.   I did not put away the book until the end.   The book is an epistolary novel, a Snail Mail fan bonus!!  I've been always amazed of those islands surrounded by foggy and cold weather.  I am from a tropical place, so, no cold weather for us!!  I loved to read about normal people trying to live their lives during war time.  In Costa Rica we don't have an army; war is not a familiar topic between us.  After that book, I research about the place, the weather, the ticket price (not for know!!)...

Hace algunos años recibí un maravilloso regalo de cumpleaños:  un libro llamado  La soceidad literaria y el pastel de piel de patata de Guernsey.  No lo solté hasta que terminé de leerlo.  El libro es una novela epistolar... otro regalo para una fanática del correo tradicional.  Siempre me  han encantado esas islas rodeadas de neblina y con un clima gélido.  Soy de un lugar tropical así que por aquí nunca hace frío.  Además, me gusta leer sobre gente normal tratanto de vivir sus vidas en tiempos de guerra.  En Costa Rica no tenemos ejército, así que la guerra no es un tema propio de nuestra realidad.  Después de leer el libro, me dediqué a investigar acerca del lugar, del clima, hasta averigué el costo del tiquete aéreo hasta allá... pero no por ahora...

The bad news is that there are only 35 Postcrossers in Guernsey...  the good news is that this  kind people gave us this funny opportunity to get the stamp:  Lottery - Guernsey meetup (with Postcrossing stamp).   Just go to the Forum and take a chance!

La mala noticia es que sólo hay 35 postcrossers in Guernsey... la buena noticia es que esta amable gente tendrá una reunión y nos dan la oportunidad de obtener la estampilla a través de una simpática Lotería.  Sólo hay que ir al Forum y darse una oportunidad. ¡Buena suerte a todos!
